Common questions

Frequently asked questions

How do I get started?

Open Containers, create a named container, select its currency, and enter the physical quantity of each bill or coin. You can also start an empty container.

How do I take cash out of a safe or bag?

On the Count screen, choose the container, select Take cash out, enter the quantities of the denominations removed, and tap Save. Add a note if you want to remember why.

Can I see how many of each denomination are in a container?

Yes. Open Containers and tap the name of your container to view its recorded inventory and totals.

How do transfers work?

Use Transfer on the Count screen, select the source and destination containers, and enter the bills or coins to move. Both containers need to use the same currency.

How do I undo an incorrect entry?

Open History and use Undo on the latest eligible transaction, then confirm the reversal. The audit history keeps a record of the action.

Where is my cash information stored?

By default, your cash records are encrypted on your device. You can opt into private iCloud synchronization in Settings to keep your Apple devices updated.

Why might iCloud synchronization need attention?

Check that you are signed into iCloud and have enabled sync in Count Vaultula Settings. Tap Sync now. If the error persists, send the exact message to support. Do not uninstall the app or delete your local records to troubleshoot.

How do backups work?

Settings lets you export and import a JSON backup. Exported files are readable, not encrypted by the app; store them securely and never send a backup or PIN in a support ticket.

Can Count Vaultula connect to my bank?

No. It tracks physical bills and coins and does not connect to banking institutions, transfer funds, or convert currencies automatically.
